Aircraft Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield
An aircraft carrying Pete Hegseth was required to make an unplanned landing in the Britain on Wednesday due to a fissure was discovered in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official statement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.
"The aircraft touched down following established safety measures and everyone onboard, such as Defense Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a press officer said in a online announcement.
He was traveling back from a brief trip to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.
This incident isn't the first occasion that a US military aircraft carrying a top government figure has suffered mechanical issues.
Months ago, a US Air Force plane transporting the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was required to turn back to Washington after suffering a technical issue.
