Barcelona to Host First Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou on Saturday

Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in domestic competition 30 months since relocating to allow renovations to start.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside under the licence granted. Once fully finished, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players plus modern locker rooms.

Recent Activities

The club conducted a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium in early November. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December at the stadium. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
