Ex- BBC Specialists Undergo MPs' Inquiry After Assertions of Prejudice in Disclosed Memo

Ex- British Broadcasting Corporation advisers testifying before parliamentary committee

We start with questions from Conservative lawmaker the committee chair, who oversees the group.

She opens by providing context to the unauthorized document written by Michael Prescott and printed in a daily publication.

"I do not desire the BBC tilting in any particular direction, I just want it straight, fair and just," he says.

In response to a query whether he thinks the British Broadcasting Corporation is structurally prejudiced, Prescott answers: "No I don't. It is important to note, tons of stuff the British Broadcasting Corporation does is exceptional - including informative and fictional content."

However, he continues: "There exists real work that needs to be done at the BBC."

The second previous consultant British Broadcasting Corporation adviser questioned by the committee, Caroline Daniel, states she views the British Broadcasting Corporation very seriously and that it has a "persistent practice and active debate" on dynamic and complex issues.

"Was the BBC prepared to conduct a genuine discussion and exchange and take action?" she asks herself. "As I see it, indeed, they were."
