Los Angeles witnessed citywide celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched a nail-biting seven-game World Series championship. Supporters across the globe united with Angelenos in jubilation, marking the first time in 25 years that a team has secured back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Attracts Massive Turnout
Local celebrations included a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and spontaneous parties across the city.
Online footage show thousands of Los Angeles residents flooding downtown streets, many carrying handmade banners and team flags. The team was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the masses, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy proudly.

The World Series served as a positive moment in what has been a challenging year for Los Angeles. An approximate quarter-million people showed up to the championship parade last year, and according to team member one athlete, supporters this year demonstrated as much if not more support.
“I feel like it’s almost double from last year,” he remarked. “The supporters are incredible. It’s so awesome to be a involved in this.”
