The families of young people lost after a devastating blaze at a establishment in a Swiss winter destination are confronting an agonising wait for answers and requesting information about their children publicly.

The inferno devastated the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Swiss Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the small hours of January 1st. Circulated images depict the roof structure igniting as beverages with sparklers are raised in celebration.

Emergency services have warned that it could take considerable time to identify the victims of the fire, which claimed the lives of four dozen individuals and hurt another scores more. A spokesperson stated on Friday that 113 of the injured have been accounted for, with efforts ongoing to locate the final individuals.

Desperate Searches for the Missing
