Performer Rejects Anti-Vaccine Views After Voicing Disputed Covid Film

Liam Neeson has lent his narration to a new documentary that questions the legitimacy of vaccines and lauds former cabinet secretary RFK Jr.

The Feature's Contentious Basis

Called "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is inspired by a well-known publication written by a disgraced researcher, who became famous during the global outbreak for claims that the illness was a result of a faulty batch of the flu vaccine.

Her co-author, Kent Heckenlively, has also written books with far-right radio host the Infowars host. He wrote online celebrating Neeson's role in the film.

A Firm Denial

The team of Neeson have issued a statement pushing back against implications that he holds anti-vaccine beliefs.

"Everyone can acknowledge that corruption might be present within the pharmaceutical industry, but that must not be confused with opposition to vaccines," the comment states. "He never has been, and remains not, against vaccines. His long work with the global charity underscores his long-held support for global immunisation initiatives."

It noted that the performer had no hand in the film's narrative and that inquiries about its assertions should be directed to the producers.

Central Claims In the Feature

According to the documentary, the narration provided by Neeson makes several strong statements:

  • It claims that pro-vaccine voices have demanded "complete compliance" to public institutions.
  • It argues that "science has become dangerously influenced by politics."
  • Kennedy is interviewed claiming, "The big problem with vaccines is that they are not safely tested."
  • The film also criticizes pandemic restrictions, arguing they caused mental anguish that cost thousands of lives.
  • On the topic of Covid vaccines, it references a perspective that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "dangerous experiments."

Historical Background and Ongoing Issues

The film includes a past television report about clinical trials on children, which was afterwards the topic of a formal apology by the broadcaster for violations of guidelines.

Last month, the political figure called on the CDC to revise its official position that there is no link between immunizations and autism. This assertion is repeated in the film, contrary to a new report from the WHO confirming no evidence has been found.

A Previous Statement of Support

Contrasting the documentary's tone, Neeson has previously shown strong support for vaccines in his position as a Unicef global ambassador.

Previously, he referred to vaccines as "a remarkable achievement," noting that "The debate about vaccines in lately has forgotten how much benefit they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in our history."

The documentary ends with Neeson's narration saying, "This is not the conclusion of our story. It is the beginning of a different phase."
