Declan Rice Set-pieces from dead balls and set-plays were dangerous. Was given freedom to roam on the left but was in an offside position as the pass came with a chance to score. Granted a merited substitution around the 60-minute point. Six

Jude Bellingham Operated in a high role out wide while also contributed with dirty work. Showed flashes of quality but scuffed a shot wide. Replaced late on by Rogers, a fellow player, following a yellow card. 7/10

Jarrod Bowen Was presented with the team's best chance before halftime, his strike excellently kept out by Thomas Strakosha. As a teammate holding position, he had to offer an outlet on the right although his balls from wide areas were hit and miss. Taken off for the final quarter-hour. 6/10

Harry Kane The match-winner scoring 77th and 78th goals for his country. The first a classic opportunist's goal while the second an excellent header following a clever run from his marker. Now 32, he continues to improve with the national team stand a real opportunity next summer with him up top. Eight

The attacker Struggled to make an impact on the left flank. Had a decent opportunity after being played in from a teammate however Strakosha made the save. His replacement made much more of influence when substituted. 5/10
