The children's author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Best-selling children's author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
A spokesman for the publisher stated: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was reached following an investigation into claims about conduct deemed unsuitable directed at young women.
The publisher declined to specify the reasons for its decision, stating: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, having sold over six tens of millions of copies globally in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
To date, he has released more than 40 books altogether, encompassing a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
From Screen to Page
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
