Tributes Continue for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks after the tragic deaths of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues continue to honor the duo.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he only now felt ready to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

"Enough time has passed that I can now articulate my loss into words," wrote Elwes, adding that his initial encounter with Reiner created an instant bond. "When we commenced spending more time together I knew this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor posted archival material from the movie, commenting that he could not remember "one day without laughter".

"This story is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the ideal person to direct it," Elwes wrote.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, noting: "To say that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He ended with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Friend and Collaborator

In a separate essay, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved being with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the lead role.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked beautifully with everyone, and he grasped the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Restricted

In a new development, a Los Angeles judge ruled to prevent the disclosure of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, after an appeal from the LAPD.

A court order issued a security hold on the investigation to limit the public release of "related notes, documents, files or images" pertaining to the ongoing investigation.

The coroner's office had already determined their deaths were the outcome of foul play, with a official listing citing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Response and Criticism

Following the killings, public personalities expressed divergent responses.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, offering controversial statements that were broadly criticized by several individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his criticism to the detractors recently. Speaking on his program, Rogan labeled the statements as "shocking" and remarked they demonstrated a concerning absence of compassion.

Rogan concluded by remarking that an associate could have acted when the decision to weigh in on the tragedy was made.
